The Parc de l’Alba has obtained final approval of the Urban Master Plan (PDU) for the Cerdanyola del Vallès Directional Center, which defines the regulatory framework for developing the area. We are pleased to announce that our Consulting Department has contributed its expertise in urban planning and risk analysis, along with the other participating companies.
This space now houses the Alba synchrotron. The proximity of the park to the UAB and its easy access to the AP-7 highway will allow the 408 hectares of public park to host innovative companies, create a new residential neighborhood, and protect biodiversity with 41% of the park’s green areas.
Our participation has focused on reducing the unprotected zones established by Civil Protection, using simulation models for the dispersion of hazardous products to obtain horizontal and vertical dispersion curves and study the effect of shielding on these dispersions.
Therefore, we are particularly excited to have collaborated in the final approval of a planning project that supports the establishment of technological and innovative companies. And, it must be said, we are especially proud given that the part of the study we were entrusted with provides a technically justified solution for other developers in the same situation.
